Camp GOTR combines the best of the Girls on the Run program with all the fun of summer camp! At Camp GOTR, rising 3rd – 5th grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive lessons & games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through arts & crafts and storytelling.
The Camp GOTR curriculum offers two camp curriculums themes:
"Girls Have Heart"
Throughout this week girls will have fun exploring FRIENDSHIPS with activities designed to discover what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others.
"Girls Have Power"
Throughout this week girls will have fun exploring EMOTIONS with activities designed to identify and respond to their emotions and how to recognize emotions in others and offer support.
As a Camp GOTR site, we will provide you with all the resources, training, and support necessary to deliver camp programming to your campers. Additionally, at Girls on the Run, we are committed to equipping our coaches with the skills and knowledge they’ll need to lead girls through an empowering experience. GOTR's National Coach Training (NCT) lays the foundation for the quality of our program and continued positive outcomes. Coach Training will be determined according to your coach status (New Coach or Veteran Coach) and must be completed prior to your scheduled session. Our Program Coordinator will work with each coach regarding training requirements, facilitation and completion.
In order to protect the small group environment and the required coach-to-girl ratio, there is a strict policy of a minimum of 8 girls and maximum of 15 girls allowed per session of Camp GOTR with a minimum of 3 trained coaches.
