Hi there I'm Kelly Armento and thanks for visiting my GOTR Solemates fundraising page.
Just to give you a little background. I first became involved with GOTR as a coach in 2010 after moving to Denver. Coaching these amazing girls was one of the most gratifying experiences. I witnessed first hand the positive impact this program has on their self confidence. I'm so passionate about this organization that I've served as a board member since December 2014.
This year I decided to marry 2 of my passions-Running and Girls on the Run of the Rockies, so I've committed myself to be a GOTR Solemate runner for 2017.
I decided to do something a little different (and crazy to some) by attempting to run EVERY DAY this year and complete 365 + runs! So far so good! As of 5/24, I've completed 146 runs and 805 miles! I'll continue to update you on my mileage throughout the year.
I've also signed up to complete my first long distance endurance race since having my daughter Zoey in August 2015. I’ll be racing the Leadville Silver Rush 50 mile trail race on July 9th to support GOTR…. and to help show my daughter that you can do anything you put your mind to! Dream Big~Girl Power!
On the days I don't feel like lacing up, I remember that my purpose is bigger than me staying healthy. It's for the young girls to realize their full potential by being a Girl on the Run!!!!
Please support me and this wonderful organization so we can continue to help young girls develop into strong, confident and healthy young women. Without your donations, we wouldn’t be able to continue to grow this program in Denver and the surrounding communities. Many girls who participate in our program are from low income families, so ANY and ALL donations are so appreciated!
