About This Event
Welcome to the 10th Annual Ripley Race celebrating the life of Colonel John W. Ripley, USMC (ret.) and benefiting the Semper Fi Fund (SFF) and Station Foundation. The SFF was created in order to provide wounded veterans and their families with financial assistance and quality of life solutions. The Station exists to guide our warriors home after combat, restoring family and community relationships. The Station believes that in order for service members to successfully transition we must meet them on their journey and guide them home in a manner that aligns with their values and culture. Col. Ripley, a 1962 Distinguished Graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, earned the Navy Cross for his heoric actions in Vietnam in 1972.
The Ripley Race features one of the best 5K routes in the Mid-Atlantic region. The route offers the best sights that Annapolis has to offer, including the governor's mansion, historic Main Street, Gate One of the Naval Academy, as well as views of the City Dock, Navy Academy Chapel and Maryland State House.
The event Start/Finish will be in the South End Zone "NavyFest" area just like last year.
