About This Event

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls on the Run of Central Illinois! Our volunteers are as unique as the girls they serve. Just like the girls, many are not runners. They are people just like YOU who take great pride and care in role modeling character, connectedness, and inner strength.

The spring 2019 season will begin the week of March 4th and end with the Community 5k on May 18th. Teams meet twice a week for 75 minutes each throughout the season. Typically, our teams meet Monday - Friday after school/late afternoon. Actual lesson days/times will vary by site. Click here for a list of sites with lesson days/times.

Practice Partner: Practice Partners (General Volunteers) support coaches by assisting with logistics and safety. Their role is to serve as additional adult supervision for the girls during each practice. They are not coaches and therefore are NOT authorized to facilitate the curriculum.

Site Liaison: Site Liaisons (also referred to as Site Coordinators) manage the logistic aspects associated with the site. Site Liaisons may also volunteer as coaches, but must be employed by the school where the team is located.
