Each season Girls on the Run has a dynamic group of coaches that volunteer their time to guide and mentor girls so that they are prepared to become happy, healthy, self-confident adolescents and adults. Coaches need not be runners; they just need to be individuals that want to be a positive influence and who are committed to developing and celebrating our youth.
Please note that there are 2 parts to national coach training: an online portion to be completed BEFORE in-person training (approximately 1 hour) and in-person training. If you have already completed National Coach Training in 2016, you will not need to attend in-person training.
We will have two options for in-person coach training on either Saturday, January 6th, January 13th or January 20th. The newly developed National Coach Training Initiative is a major focus of Girls on the Run, as it will allow cohesiveness across all coaches and councils to ensure an awesome & effective program!
